RANGE OF APPLICATION
The system is based on the Archimedian screw principle and is used as a water engine for small water power plants working with asynchronic generator ditrectly into a network. It is used for small water heads and inconstant water flow.
Hydrodynamic screw can be used as an additional motor to existing turbines (Banki, Kaplan) using the energy of spillways.

PRINCIPLE
The water flows into the spaces between flights of the screw and turns the screw at all its length.
At the lower end of screw water flows out.

DESCRIPTION
The Archimedean screw turbine are constructed slimilarly like the screws pumps SC. The screw turbine contains the rotor situated in a channel, upper and lower bearing, gearbox and the asynchronous up-to date generator as a source of the power in small water power plants.

REGULATION
The Archimedean screw water turbine does not need any special regulation. It needs only emergency gate valve and side overflow of the screw channel.
The asynchronous generator with a right designed gearbox ensures connected into a network sufficient and optimal output in the filling range 10
 – 100 %.
